Blind – 1 whistle through the slot – a Right back whistle after the bales followed by a series of 5 backs to get positioned into the water – a Left back in the water followed by a Right back so he adjusts his approach to the point – a L back onto the point and 1 L back whistle off the point, followed by 3 whistles to the bird.

Blind - Jack past the brush on the left. Handler Paul Sletten blew the first whistle at the bottom of the hill, with another one coming to move him right of the bale. A whistle at the holding blind to get Jack through the slot. Two whistles to get him to the bird, but Jack got deep. A tweet and whistle back, Jack got his bird.

Came to the line at 3:52 pm.

Flyer - Good entry point into the corn field. A fairly controlled hunt and he found the bird.

Middle Retired - Good mark!

Left Retired - Started a loop a little short but Jack corrected himself and located the bird.

Right Retired - Nice work on this bird.

Jack and Paul came to the line at for their 4th Series.

Flyer - A tight hunt in the area of the fall and Jack is back with his bird.

Middle - Jack ran along the dam and gently bent left to arrive in front of the gunners and at the area of the fall. A quick location of the bird and he is headed back.

Left - Very positive momentum carried him back through the pond, up the hill and to his bird.

2nd & 3rd Series - Water / Land Blind

Water - Six whistles to get to the water and multiple whistles to get through the lunging water and by the point.

Land - Two whistles by the second bale and another three to establish a final line to the blind.

"Jack" with handler Paul Sletten came to the line to run their first test of the 2018 National Retriever Club Championship at 8:00 am.

Flyer - Jack went out through through the corn for a very nice mark.

Long - He went through the heavy cover on a good line. He continued the perfect line to his bird.
