FC-AFC STRAIGHT TO THE HEART-DAGGER, "Dagger"
Blind -Dagger's initial line put him past the brush and down the hill. Owner handler Johnny Armstrong had to blow two whistles to get Dagger to the blind and the gap/slot. One more whistle to put him through the slot and the final two blows put him on his bird.

Flyer - Dagger ran the road to the field and got right of the gunners and went deep, but worked his way to get the bird.
Middle Retired - Came in by the cover and missed the mark. He turned both left and right and got back in the cover to get his bird.
Left Retired - He went out to the guns then into the cover to get his bird.
Right Retired - Drove out on a good line to the area of the bird just left of the bale. He took one loop and got his bird.

Handled - 47. FC-AFC STRAIGHT TO THE HEART-DAGGER, "Dagger" LM, Johnny Armstrong
Dagger and Johnny came to the line at 11:57 am.
Flyer - Hunted deep and deep left before finding his bird.
Middle - Took a right line, right of the bales and over the levee to the right side of the blind. Dagger moved left into the fall area and got his bird.
Left - Going through the bales and into the pond, Dagger got out and went to the right side of the trees. Had to be handled back to the left side of the trees and deeper to get his bird.
Flyer - Hunted deep and deep left before finding his bird.

Dagger came to the line at 1:26 pm.
Water - Dagger's initial line took him 1/2 way down the field. He got his first whistle down at the middle of the road with the second whistle putting him in the pond. Three more and a check down at the bird.
Land - One whistle between the first and second bale, The second and third whistle came on the way to the third bale. Taking two or three more whistles got Dagger around the bale and the final one bird.

first test of the 2018 National Retriever Club Championship at 1:58 pm.
Flyer - Flapping Bird - Dagger loved it - Nice Job
Long - Dagger went out through the cover and to the left side of the puddle. He turned right at the trees but swiftly turned directions and went to his bird.
