"Kid" and Mike came to the line at 7:55 am.

Right Flyer - A tight hunt and Kid came back with the bird.

Short Retired - Entering the field behind the gunners and left of the timber, Kid punches his way through the timber to grab his short retired.

Left Flyer - Angling down the hill and through the hay bales right to the area of the fall, Kid puts up a tight hunt quartering around the area a number of times before coming up with his bird.

Left Retired - Nice line to the area. A quick hunt and back with his bird.

"Kid" and Mike came to the line at 11:23 am

Blind – Lined through the bales, 2 whistles to get to the shore, 1 whistle Right back then 1 Left back to get in the water, 1 whistle Left back and 1 whistle Right back to adjust line to the point, 2 more Left back whistles to get on point, 1 Left to get off point  and into the 2nd pond. Large L walking whistle cast to get the bird.

Blind - 2:44 pm - Kid's initial line put him left of the brush and down the hill. Getting his first two whistles from handler Mike Taylor to get Kid across the flat of the field and through the slot. Two more to the area of the bird, but he missed it so it took one more blow from Mike to put Kid on his bird.

Came to the line at 11:13 am

Flyer - Out to the area under the arc of the throw, Kid turned right then worked his way back left to his bird.

Middle Retired - He came into the holding blind then turned into the cover and got it.

Left Retired - Went out right of the cover and got deep. He worked his way back and got his bird.

Right Retired - Good line down the field. Kid got wide right to the trees then turned left and then right and was down the hill to the holding blind then to his bird.

Kid and Mike came to the line at 8:46 am.

Flyer - Small tight area hunt and got his bird.

Left - Kid went out right of the bales and right of the pond. He crossed into the fall area of the middle retired but kept going. Into the trees and deep he came out on the left side of the trees and worked his way to get this bird.

Middle - Wide right going out, he came up on the terrace deep right of the guns. Kid worked deep left of the guns back to the fall area then to his bird.

Series 2 & 3 - Water / Land Blind - Kid came to the line at 11:25 am.

Water - Four whistles to cross the road. The last whistle carried him into the pond and half way across. Fifth and Sixth whistle to adjust swim line and another to get exit correctly and plus a check down.

Land - Initial line carried him past the first hay bale. He carried this whistle to the bird where he had a check down.

"Kid" with handler Mike Taylor came to the line to run their first test of the 2018 National Retriever Club Championship at 12:01 pm.

Flyer - Kid had a tight hunt to come up with his flyer.

Long - Initial line a little to the right, but Kid corrected and came with his bird.
