Flyer – Out through the cover strip and straight to the fall and the bird.

Left Retired – Made a turn to the left of the Middle Retired blind then on out to the Left Retired cover and hunted it up.

Middle Retired – Going wide left and handled back to the middle retired, several whistles and got his bird.

Right Retired – Angled left across the field away from the blind. Got to deep center then moved farther left, came all the way back across to the bird.

"Rusty" and Sharon came to the line at 8:17 am and received a no bird. They will go back 5 spots and have a rerun in the 6th spot back.

Rusty and Sharon came to the line at 7:43 am.

Flyer - Small hunt short then on his bird.

Middle - Rusty went out through the pond and getting to the tip of the trees then moved to the left hand bird area but turned and came back around to get his middle bird.

Left - He went through the bales and angled left along the water to the left field. He got out through the cover on the left side and down deep in the field but then worked his back to his bird.

Came to the line at 8:34 am.

Water - A whistle to angle over the road and another to angle the entry entry into the pond. A couple more whistles to get to the past the point and a few more to adjust for his exit to pick up his bird on the dam.

Land - A quick whistle at the start to adjust initial line. Five more to challenge the line through the slot and on the bird.

"Rusty" with handler Sharon van der Lee came to the line to run their first test of the 2018 National Retriever Club Championship at 9:43 am.

Flyer - Rusty went out to the fall area and made several turns before getting his bird.

Long - He went through the heavy cover on an excellent line to the fall area and under the arc. Went deep but came back up the tree line to his bird.
